In the crowded and extremely competitive world of the Nashville music industry, it can be difficult to stand apart from the masses as a player with true skill and vision. Terry Lee Palmer has made it his life long mission to step up to this challenge, doing so by providing professional and inventive musicianship for every project to which he lends his sound.
Born in Houston, Texas, T.L.P. spent the better part of his life growing up in Middle Tennessee. He began playing guitar at age 9 and was influenced early on by classic and 80's style rock. He studied classical and jazz extensively at both Middle Tennessee State University under Prof. William Yelverton and Austin Peay State University under Prof. Stanley Yates. He left school to pursue a career as a touring musician, playing with a variety of acts over several years and honing his country guitar style along the way. In 2003, he became lead guitarist for country music star Mark Wills. With Mark, T.L.P. got the opportunity and privilege to perform at venues such as The Ryman Auditorium and The Grand Ole Opry. After two years with Mark, Terry left to record "Beautiful Mess", his first solo album which was released in 2006. The track "Twisted Little Angel" was a featured song on Nashville's Lightning 100.1 FM.
As with his ventures in the past, T.L.P. is always working to bring excellence to the music of today. In the studio or on the road, his goal is to provide the perfect combination of taste and style to every performance. As with his personal mission to stand apart from the musical masses, T.L.P. strives to make every piece of music he performs on stand apart as well.
